It's Not What HAPPENS to You...

Totally Shocked at What Happened... it's what you do with what happens.

Whether you are running an Internet business or an off-line business things are going to happen. Even if you have pure intentions, you take your time and you try to do everything right there are going to be days you run into trouble.

But the business owner (which you are right?) needs to take whats thrown at him or her and roll with the punches.

I do realize that some of you reading this really do treat your Internet business like a business. There are many however that don't.

I see a lot of people spending a lot of time taking less than positive actions or complaining about their circumstances rather than taking action or learning from those circumstances and moving on.

Some of the best education is gleamed from the failures we meet in our lives.  Wisdom benefits from failure.

Sometimes when a person falls down or something negative happens to that person they get angry and from emotion they make decisions that work against them and not for them.  In fact, anger is your enemy.  It can ruin a perfectly good person and business.  It has ruined thousands before you.

So how should you react?

When something happens to you, you must not make quick, reckless decisions. And you must not make decisions based on emotion alone.

You must first stand back from what happened, pause and think about how to take this situation that you have and turn that into something positive.

Also, if it involves others, you must also keep them in mind. It's an important balance... you need to make sure that your customers, clients, members etc. are taken care of. If you have partners and others with financial interest in what you do, keep them in mind; even ask for their input. You must consider how you react will impact your future business and relations with others (customers, partners etc).

Find the best possible solution for your BUSINESS. Never take it personal.

In the end, chances are you will be able to come out of something even better and stronger then before if you do it right.  You will be better off if you don't freak out and do something you'll most certainly regret. Why set yourself back even further by not thinking something through?

So think about that.   Something negative is going to happen to you; it's business. Things happen to all of us. That's part of being in business. But when something does happen, think... stand back and think about the best course and reaction for this problem before you do something you regret and that destroys the progress you have made.

You've worked hard to get where you are.  Don't allow it to all crash down because of temporary defeats and because you made a quick, rash decision based only on emotion.
